In Funny Car, Matt Hagan and Bob Tasca III are the leading contenders to win. They qualified fourth and sixth respectively after finishing the season first and second in total points this year.
Back to Herrera, while he secured the 2023 Pro Stock Motorcycle Championship title yesterday, he has the opportunity to make even more history. He can win a record 11th race this season after tying the record with his 10th win on Saturday. With a win, he will have the season record in wins along with the season championship.
The top contenders for the Top Fuel title are Austin Prock, Greg Anderson, Hagan and Herrera. Also in the mix are Steve Torrence, Leah Pruett, Doug Kalitta, Mike Salinas and Justin Ashley who can all technically win the season championship today.
